of literary note [... sucker]

Apparently, this is making the rounds.

Hardback or Paperback?
Depends on the type of book. Generally, hardback.

Highlight or Underline?
Neither. Out of control notations on paper I'll likely never find again.

Lewis or Tolkien?
Tolkien.

E.B.White or A.A.Milne?
White. Never a fan of Pooh.

T.S.Eliot or E.E.Comings?
Eliot.

Stephen King or Dean Koontz?
Koontz. King's spectacular, but way too slow..... don't recall ever actually finishing one of King's....

Barnes & Noble or Borders?
Either. Depends on who has what I'm looking for.

Waldenbooks or B.Dalton?
B. Dalton if I feel like enduring the mall. No Waldenbooks in my area.

Amazon or Powell's?
Amazon on the basis I've never heard of Powell's.

Fantasy or Science Fiction?
Sci-Fi, by a nose.

Horror or Suspense?
Suspense, again, by a nose.

Bookmark or Dogear?
Bookmark.

Hemingway or Faulkner?
Neutral, never got into either.

Fitzgerald or Steinbeck?
Fitzgerald. I'll take The Great Gatsby over any of Steinbeck's any day. Brings to mind the same issue I have with King.

John Irving or John Updike?
Irving, for The World According To Garp, and that I can't recall reading any of Updike's work.

Homer or Plato?
Both.

Geoffrey Chaucer or Edmund Spenser?
Chaucer.

Pen or Pencil?
Pen/Marker/Sharpie. Normally don't use pencil unless I'm sketching some sort of draft or grabbing whatever's handy to jot something down.

Looseleaf or Notebook?
For what purpose? Notebooks probably win out across the board - and it's more for the padding of layers to write on than anything else. Looseleaf, post-its, napkins, scraps.... anything will do for the sake of time.

Alphabetize: By Author or By Title?
Author. Movies would be exception to that rule.

Novella or Epic?
Either.

Fiction or Non-Fiction?
Fiction, for the most part. I won't turn down an interesting Non-Fiction work..

Historical Biography or Historical Romance?
Biography. There's bound to be a smattering of Romance in it, anyway. Prefer Alternative History to either choice.

A Few Pages per Sitting or Finish at Least a Chapter?
Either, depends on the book.

Buy or borrow?
Buy. Only borrow if it's research based, and there are times I'll end up buying certain resources if they seem applicable for future reference.

Book Reviews or Word of Mouth?
Either.

Audio or Hardcopy?
Hardcopy. Bad habit of background noise (radio/tv/stereo/mp3s) when I'm studying or working makes it far too easy to half-listen to Audio books.

Screen (computer, PDA, etc) or Hardcopy?
Either, it really depends on what I'm reading.
