body found in woods [newspost]

[forum news post]

"We got the century right, " Thompson said about the previous mixup, going on to state "We knew it was Italian, Renissance. What we got wrong was the artist." (http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/krnewyork/20020710/lo/10m_sketch_found_in_box_1.html)

What a lovely and lucky find... Ernie?

Thanks Sara Ann.
*a quick flash of profesional Ernie Ernastos, before footage changes to a two-lane highway, a section of trees taped off, coronor's van, several squad cars and a handful of news vans dot the side of the road... all surrounding a larger 1979 Dodge Van also taped off and undergoing careful inspection, Ernie's calm voice overlaying the scenes*

A body was found, this afternoon, by a pair of hikers in a wooded area about 20 miles Southwest of Atlantic City. So far, local police speculate the gentleman had pulled off to the side of the two lane highway, parked and locked his van, and decided to walk in the woods. His keys, cash and other personal belongings were found on scene. There has been no evidence of foul play, however, local police are still leaving that option open, speculations lean more towards an animal attack by some of the larger predators native to the state, but probably displaced so far South by the recent Pineland fires.

*a quick flash, a shot of the body, covered in bright yellow plastic, inside a clearing that's been trampled by the passage of many feet, both human and animal, even raptor as several carrion eating ravens look on from high in the trees, a red tide of dried blood spreading out and peeking from beneath the edges of the plastic*

*the scene changes to a uniformed man, groomed, stripes on his sleeves, but pale, a little green around the gills though years of training don't let it show more than faintly* Well, the deceased seems to have been partially consumed by scavengars, no matter what happened, both large and small opportunistic creatures live in the area. It's unfortunate, but the way it is out here in wooded areas. We're not sure how long the body has been here, but we're estimating 12-24 hours, a proper exam will give us more evidence so the body and family can be properly lain to rest.

*Ernie's smooth voice interjects yet again, shots returning to the newsroom* The family declined to comment or release the gentleman's name. Fish and Wildlife officials claim there is no need to panic, but to use normal levels of caution when hiking or camping, especially after dark. More on this story as the information comes in. Now... in other news....
