I had a discussion today on the importance of journalling with a fellow dissociate. It made me realize that here on OD, while there are other dissociates around, they aren't particularly easy to find (unless, for some reason, I happen to be blind to this fount of information and ease of findability).

We'll find each other randomly.... a note or entry left here and there.... maybe pulled in from reading a diary circle.

Not good enough.

Maybe I'm just too lazy to have a whole motherload of bookmarks and want everything easily organized into my own personal deck of cards. I want to point and click, not search relentlessly. Many times the gusto turns to pesto and interest is lost.

For someone that just discovers they have DID, it's like getting tossed into a lake to learn to swim. You either swim. Or you sink.

It's terrifying, really. And not everyone seems to have easy access to resources as important as seeing that someone else has been through it too. Learning by example is highly beneficial in something as...... veritably uncharted as the inner workings of a system.

If someone else can do it, you can too. And you. And you over there. Yes, you too.

So, goal in the next hour: create a webring only for diarists/journalers/bloggers whatever with DID.

Aha, we have a web ring.

Though, if you do, I haven't finished the details yet, so no guarantees you'll be added. Shouldn't be more than a week to get everything smoothed out.

Though will work on the page tomorrow, finally to the point of exhaustion where I can sleep without C here, so will attempt that, and finish later....

And I tried that at FOD a while back, basically got ignored. Now that I've got the jive to do it again, will try it this way.... and.... hoping to move off OD if I eventually get my own site, and this way the ring can move with me.
