Pierced - 2/5/2002

I am...... again.

It all started out yesterday. JO and M (yes, from work) were going to go get M's tongue pierced, and wanted to know if I wanted to tag along. Sure, says I, any excuse to be back in a piercing shop. Plus, I had mine done long ago, and JO just got hers recently, so for some reason this makes me a guru and friend of steel to go along as moral support.

I wanted to get my navel redone (it got sorta torn out several months after I got it the first time several years ago, so now it's healed enough to be redone) and start on my helix project, figured it would be a good a time as any. But, talking to C about it, she wanted to sorta be there to watch me get stabbed, and couldn't make the date with JO and M, so I was the official hand holder.

Yes, on Monday, I walked in and out of a piercing shop without spending any money.

It's a first, I tell you.

JO got a helix and another ear piercing.... I got to be mean and agree with the piercer when he said "Oh, she's your boss? You must be loving this." because indeed I was *chuckle* M got her tongue done, was so nervous her mouth went dry. Between the both of them I didn't have circulation in my fingers for a few minutes after the session.

M is now among the ranks of the "perthed" (you try to say "Pierced" with your tongue newly done). Is quite cute...... one of the senior keepers from work keeps making fun of JO in that she wanted to be like me. Now I have another disciple *snickers*

Hung out for awhile after, telling piercing stories, then got my second Rabies vax shot on the way home.... C arrived right as I was turning into the neighborhood so we raced each other in *chuckles* Then, of course, the first words out of her mouth are "What did you get done?"

*dry look*

"I was waiting for you, honey"

"Oh? I"m surprised..... not like you to walk out of a plce like that without new metal"

I know I know! *laughs* Dammit all...

I made up for it, though, while running errands today I drug her back across town with the "I'm getting it done today" and she even said she'd pay for it.

We ended up having to wait for the piercer for an HOUR. Hung out with the chick that ran the counter, who remembered me from yesterday, so that was cool. Got to watch all the tweakers run in, buy a new pipe, pay, and run out all in 30 seconds or less. Spazzboy was nearly in tears he was laughing so hard because he was able to tell who was spun and who wasn't. Most were. Talking just as fast as he does.... was a blast.

C ended up picking out a pipe that she liked, so I offered to buy it for her (she just bought me a new little pipe last week, so I thought I'd return the favor) since she was paying for my piercing and all. The counter chick (I never did ge her name) knocked 10 bucks off the total because we had to wait for the piercer for so long. So that was sweet karma.....

Wanted to get that helix project started, but decided against it because I wear a beanie at work when it gets cold,and we're due for another snap (even if we're in t-shirts now)..... and it will SUCK wearing that with a healing helix.......

Ended up with just navel. Have a barbell this time and it's SO much nicer. The piercer said it would be more of a pain in the ass because the balls rest against the piercing. Yes, they do, but they also do not get snagged on everything everytime I move like that damn ring did. I haven't had a problem with it yet at all and last time about now I was in some serious discomfort. It's actually STRAIGHT now, too. Stupid bitch that did the last one fucked it up and went crooked..... so I didn't mind loosing it. I just minded wasting that money that I could have spent on drugs at the time *chuckles, shaking head* C paled a bit at the force he had to use to get the needle through the scar tissue (yes, DS, I'm sure you appreciated that nugget of information)..... he really had to PUSH.......

I have so forgotten where I was going with this.

Not high...... but C's not here, and reacting to that second rabies shot, so quite out of it. Session tomorrow, so hopefully things will clear up a bit.

Found some new javascripting code (okay, new to .me.) that I wanted to try out, but didn't have a place to try it...... so damn well made a place for it! One of my online RP buddies had his characters spread out over several sites..... combined them all into one site and housed it on my server. Just so I could play with that menuscript. I hope he doesn't mind me having taken that liberty to build a page for him, since it will be quite a surprise. He should like it......
