Sucks now *chuckles* I remember when we were going there long time ago and there were eons and eons of toys, more than I could even comprehend, spreading out for miles.... you needed a map to just get through the place.
And I know this was not just me being a kid. Toys R Us stores in Los Angeles were still really cool when I was there a few years ago.
The one here? My god..... it's..... painful.... to go into. I don't know how they get away with calling themselves a Toys R Us. Geoffrey would shed his patches.
Mom and I went out to a buffet style dinner, earlier, and after about 4 plates I began to slow down. Around the 6th I figured I was full. Yes, ask DS, I eat like it's going out of style. I ate to make the viking gods of Valhalla proud! And, since Toys R Us was on the way, made an excuse to drop in and have mom wait outside.
The stuffed animal aisle, on first glance, only had a few minor possibilities.
So went traipsing arond the rest of the store. Common, this IS a toystore. Did find the entire first series of Silent Screamers&tm; toys all for 6 bucks each. So already the night looked up.
Spazzboy was pleased, elated even. Chattering on with the salesclerk about the movies the toys were based off of, and going on about the collection of horror/monster action figure toys we have. We'd been looking for these awhile and never had the cash.
Back to the stuffed toys we go. We gotta find something..... I..... knew it had to be tonight. I know there were several toys out at the zoo that could have sufficed, but I wouldn't be getting back to them until this weekend and it had to be tonight we got something for the Little Guy. Somehow, from out of nowhere, this little black bear popped up. Velvet soft and cuter than shit..... deep inside I felt a little boy smile.
He sorta matches the little polar bear that DS sent us a while back. I also found poetic irony in that we first felt this Little Guy at the zoo, so appropriately one of the animals we take care of there would happen to be one that comforts him.

It's perfect, baby. Nice to see whitey is well loved still too. *winks* Check your mail, if you haven't already. Know he's not quite ready, but save it for him when he is. *soft smile*
