We gotta get a house of our own. We gotta keep her.

She showed up at a friend's front door on Tuesday, his wife...... well, to cut a long story short we ended up taking her for a planned 24 hours. During that time, a foster home would be found to take care of her until her owners showed up, or she was adopted.

That 24 hours turned into 3 days.

Not a bad thing, as C and I were on Meth at the time and got to play LOTS with the puppy. Was good for both her puppy soul and my tired one.

We took her to the foster home last night (this house is not made for puppies, nor is the backyard, not to mention my mom *chuckle*) and she will probaby be really confused by people on a regular sleeping schedule. The meth story will probably come early next week, just not ime to do it now.

But that's it. We're getting a place of our own. I want that girl back.

She still has her milk teeth, and barely. They're real tiny. We're aging her at about 4 months..... within 3 days we had her sitting before being fed, fetching, knowing where the grass was to go potty, playing tug-of-war, she knows what "no," "get down," and "drop it" mean..... the list goes on.

She's gonna be huge, too. Other than her ears (which are short triangular) and those legs (which are loooooong)...... I'd pin her as black and tan coonhound (which is NOT common in this area or state as far as I know). But by her ears and legs, maybe there's some dobe in her....

She's definitely hound, though, way too many hound traits popping up. At the foster home she met Ginger, a 5mo. rott mix, and they hit if off perfectly (and are about the same size)...... so that's very good for her, there's also Scout (a pitt mix) and Jack (a...... something, really tall Jack Russel..... like full grown lab sized yet only 8 mo *L*) to play with. Lots of puppies...... C and I have basically convinced ourselves she's going to puppy camp, and we'll get her back in a few months, if not sooner.

The hound is where she got her name, too...... responded to it within a few hours. Seemed what she liked best out of the names we threw at her.....

Have I mentioned that everybody inside is in love with her?

She's really loyal, too, if you, uh, couldn't tell *chuckle* She'd been laying there for 10 minutes before the picture was taken *L* Hung out with us constantly, only went away to do her thing then came running back.......

MAN I need a better job......
