*chuckles* For my birthday, mom said she'd buy me a digital camera. I know, took me long enough to take her up on the offer.... and did I mention I needed to use it for school, oh, tonight?

Even went and price shopped yesterday, found that just about everybody (even the website) has it for $999.9x. Circuit City was offering me a free backpack *dry look* that the guy said matched my hair (it's purple and sort've pewter blue on the sides now). Oh baby......

So drug mom back to The Good Guys this morning, and was down to two cameras. The Sony CD300 and the new Cybershot that was a 4.1 MegaPixel. Both are little over a month on the market. Once I updated the card to about match the memory between the two (the CD one writes onto a CDRW - meaning all 158Megs is reusable because I have the CDRW drive, and the Cybershot is still on a memory card) there was about a 50 dollar difference. Everything else between the two cameras is about the same.

Looked at the guy and flat out told him CC was offering to give me a *insert another dry look here* backpack should I give them my business. What could he do to entice me to stay and purchase here.

Walked out with the camera, 5 years of insurance for the price of 3 (most definitely needed with my super hero coordination, and it covers everything except mom throwing the camera at me for getting low grades, plus when I resell the camera the insurance transfers to the new owner), and a free camcorder bag (which in itself was over 30 bucks) that I can easily tuck everything into.
